Associations
Associations are a simple list of like-named files based around a parent Chapter.  During the planning stage, you might wish to create a Timeline or Outline for each Chapter.  As your story develops, you might add a Builder to store important clips or a Dossier to summarize content.  Eventually, you might have five or six documents all with the same title -- all related to just one Chapter.  Quickly locate them using the Association dialog.

Building
Building refers to the combining of multiple documents into a single, unified whole.  The Builder file type combines, or 'builds', multiple scenes into a single Chapter.  Planners and Listings 'build' manuscripts using Chapters.

Edit Mode and View Mode
Listings, Galleries, Dossiers, Timelines, Storyboards and Sequences require a change to Edit Mode in order for data to be entered.  Edit Mode allow the user to input data.  View Mode simply enlarges the area in which text and data can be displayed.  To switch between the two modes, click the 'Change View' icon, press F1, or select 'Edit Mode' from the window's 'File' menu.

File Listing
Liquid Story Binder's 'File Listing' dialog allows you to quickly view your files grouped by type.  Hold down the CTRL key when using the 'File Listing' toolbar to choose multiple file types for viewing.

Image Listing
The 'Image Listing' dialog works in the same fashion as the 'File Listing' dialog -- displaying all images from the currently opened book.

Books and the Library
The Liquid Story Binder XE Library allows you to organize all your writing projects.  Liquid Story Binder calls these projects 'Books'.  Liquid Story Binder creates an unique Windows folder directory for each one of your 'books'.   This directory has the same title as the book itself.  A book directory can be created anywhere on your system.  Within each book directory, a series of sub-directories are created, one for each file type.  To sort, rename, delete, and restore books, use the Liquid Story Binder XE Library dialog.

Statusbar
The Liquid Story Binder XE Statusbar displays the current word count, word goal, session time, and positioning information.  The Chapter or Builder Statusbar is located just below the main document.

Taskbar
The Liquid Story Binder XE Taskbar is located horizontally across the base of the main XE window.  Quickly access opened and hidden windows.  Close windows by right-clicking their given title within the Taskbar.  Preferences to hide and maximize the Taskbar can be found under the main 'Preferences' menu.

Workspaces
Liquid Story Binder allows you to save workspaces.  A workspace preserves all the currently visible windows, documents and components.

Update Notification
A black Update Notification window appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen whenever Liquid Story Binder completes a task, giving visual feedback of accomplished events.  Disable this feature using the 'Preferences' menu.
