Styles preserve
selected text, font and paragraph styles for later use.
To copy and paste font
and paragraph styles, select a portion of text and chose 'Copy Selected
Style' from the 'Styles' menu, or press F5.
To preserve letter
casing or capitalization, select a portion of text that represents your
choice. If letter casing is not important, simply place the caret,
or cursor, within the selection. Note that 'Sherlock' is selected
above.
Select the portion of
text you wish to change. Note the 'doctor watson' selection below.
Choose 'Paste Style' or
press F6 to change the style of the selected portion of text.
Notice that the 'Doctor
Watson' selection has not only changed its font but also its
capitalization.
Styles can be pasted
repeatedly without having to re-copy. Style Copying not only preserves
font and letter casing, but justification, highlighting, numbering and
paragraph offsets.
Styles can also be
pasted between different documents and windows.
